Brendan is the managing partner at Shiller Preyar. A lifelong resident of Chicago, Brendan has extensive experience in a variety areas of law, including criminal defense, white collar criminal defense, civil rights, zoning, licensing, and others.
Shiller graduated first in his class from John Marshall Law School in 2003. At John Marshall, Shiller received the John N. Jewitt Scholarship for the highest rank in the studies of the first year.

Citizen Cárdenas is a story about people caught in the cross-hairs of gentrification. On the one hand is the protagonist of this story, Cuban immigrant, Vietnam veteran, and ex-gang member Jesus “Gato” Cárdenas, who at times becomes homeless through no fault of his own. Others, like second generation Greeks, George and Alexia Demas, homeowners with professional careers, can afford to stay but are torn because many friends were forced to move and the newcomers are harder to get to know.

Since 2008, Chicago's Young Stracke All-Stars have been building bridges between legendary figures like Carl Sandburg and Woody Guthrie and the youth of today.
The band, made up of youth musicians ages 8 to 14, play music; celebrating the legacy of folk singer and early television star, and children's music and education pioneer, Win Strack
